Terms and Conditions

What this website provides

You can search company records, browse states and cities, read service and homeowner guides, and use browser-based planning worksheets. This website does not book a chimney appointment or take payment for contractor work. Contacting a company through its displayed telephone or website takes you outside the directory's editorial service.

Research before engaging a company

You are responsible for choosing whether to contact or engage a provider. Confirm identity, service address, current credentials and insurance, the written scope and payment terms directly. The provider supplies its own estimates and contract. A directory position or star score is not a warranty or a determination that the provider is suitable for your home.

Accuracy and corrections

We aim to explain the source and limits of the available records. Company information, third-party ratings and external pages can change. Tell us about errors at email@chimneysweepratings.com and identify the page and information concerned. A correction request is not a guarantee that a third-party source will also change.

Homeowner worksheets

The current Passport and quote comparison worksheets use browser storage for saved entries. Keep independent copies of important information; browser clearing, device changes or software changes can affect saved data. The worksheets do not provide account-based cloud backup, inspection certification or a contractor quote.

Use these tools only for information you are entitled to enter. Do not enter sensitive data on a shared device. The privacy policy explains the current interface and storage limitations.

Responsible use

Do not submit or use information to impersonate a provider, mislead homeowners, interfere with the website or attempt unauthorized access. Respect the rights associated with third-party company content, ratings and linked resources. These terms do not give permission to reuse another party's material.

Commercial features and changes

The current public interface is a research directory and editorial library, not a contractor checkout or appointment marketplace. Comparison ordering is explained separately in the methodology. If advertising, sponsored placements, lead forms or payment features are introduced, their operation and relevant disclosures should be updated before use.

These terms describe the present website. They do not attempt to eliminate rights that applicable law gives you. The operator should obtain legal review and confirm its identity, jurisdiction, contact handling and any commercial arrangements.
